July TBR Hopes
June totally got away from me. There was so much going on and so many silly little things happening that more and more of my precious reading time became eaten up with said silly things. That and...you know, my baby ghost. And her evil 2 Year Old Tantrums even though she's not quite there yet. So there's that. It's crazy how easily toddlers can flip like that then give you the sweetest, most precious gift of a smile...followed by ripping out some hair, a few scratches to the face and the theft of your device. She's crushing hard on my phone lately though she eyes my laptop at times to which I shut that shit down - fast.
Anyways! On to the bookish part of our program today.
I'm still in the process of reading a few things.
This book has been a bit of a struggle. I don't know why exactly since the first two seemed like a breeze to me but I think I'm chocking it up to being at the beach and getting the "too tired to focus" on sci-fi jargon. I did finish Get a Life, Chloe Brown down here so yay, for that! (Since writing this, I did actually just finish reading this. I'll be putting up a review at some point.)
I then of course just got approved for a few more ARCS (headdesk) but luckily, I kept my eyes on the publication dates so those will be filed into a better timeline. I'm hoping to mix some holiday books in here somewhere. Halloween and X-mas being the top ones. I love reading those just a little bit before the holidays actually hit. I get more enjoyment out of the them, imo. (More on that with this post.)
Also, at some point, I would really like to start sharing book hauls, just not sure how on this platform. On BookTube, it's pretty basic of showing each book on camera or a picture of it on screen. With this being on a blog, I may need to seek inspiration/guidance from other book bloggers and go from there. But that is one of my goals for the remainder of the year :)

Lock Every Door is me trying to delve into Riley Sager's work thanks to booktuber @oliviareadsalatte 's love of his work.
The Quiet Girl is actually a book my local library is pushing for Big Library Read and the description had me interested to give it a go.
