Yeah that December thing didn't work out as I'd hoped but no fear. I am still reading and still writing reviews on GR and IG (not every time for everything but still trying to keep relevant at least.) I try posting here but it's a bit of a pain because of the way BLOGGER is set up. I've actually been looking into possibly moving my site but who knows, I may just keep it here for now. We shall see...
Anyways, ONTO THE BOOKS!
Alright, so you know the drill. I love reading ARCS and these will not be too shocking for my reading time. As matter of fact, I started falling into Cozy Mysteries (still like the harder stuff )and am finding an enjoyment level on mystery/thriller aspect but on a more tamed level. Kind of like wanting a break from the hard spirits straight, so you mix it up with a nice cocktail or two.
Which brings me to this story. Now I'm not saying its a straight up murder type book but! hear me out, it has FAE and paranormal mayhem that intrigues me.
You follow a witch, a pie witch actually, named Reese who just started up her own bakery called 'Pie-Jinks' and yes, pun intended. She is working to make a name for herself in her small town and starts to come into random and strange issues. People go missing. Even people she knows! What's a Pie Witch to do? Bake! (You'll get the joke if you read it. And you should. Cause it's fun.)
The lovely Selina J. Eckert has even written a prequel called Pumpkin Pie Spice where the story actually shows everything that starts Reese's adventures. Actually, if you have a subscription to Scribd, they are on there right now.
Here are the stories:
Here is my review for Cranberry Bog Crumble also hosted on Good Reads: (spoiler free!)
