Oh No, What Have I Done (Kind of Post)

How is it almost September as I'm typing this? Like What? Most likely when this posts it will be September.

Anyways, back to the reason of this post which is - well, duh books. Heh. I think I'm funny even when I'm not...

I've been bad with the buying. I mentioned in an earlier post that I was most likely implementing my #BookBuyingBan for next few months at least. The exception is my Book of the Month subscription and I'm allowing myself a one or two books after that. Yes, I know that means I'm buying but - yeah, cold turkey don't work for this ghost and I've learned that the hard way. So instead, I'll be on the Book Buying Behaving Ban instead where I don't go crazy. I'll try to utilize Scribd, Kindle Unlimited, ARCs, and of course my local library. If it's a book that I've read and absolutely love and want to support the author - then I'll work a plan of buying it soon at least. Even if it's just a ebook instead of a physical. I'll always love the physical over the ebook but I have come to respect that ebooks have a purpose in life. To save bookspace lol

Aside from that, I also went a little ARC crazy. Shocked? You shouldn't be if you've been reading my craziness. Speaking of there will be at least one or two more haul just to show the last of which I've accumulated before the Ban began. Actually, the cause but let's not speak of it. Sshhh. But yes, I some how made my Sept. and Oct. TBR list (like the ones I need to read) absolutely crazy. And I was doing pretty good with keeping on top of things and then - real life. You know. That thing that keeps you from your precious pages? Yeah, I ended up not being able to read as much as I hoped to and honestly, I'm not all that surprised by it. But alas, it is what it is and I'll do my absolute best. Even if it means some reviews come out a few days behind. I'll get to them eventually.

Current Reads:

I'm a little over half way done. This is a nice, easy read but still has a good amount of suspense and some obsurdities that keep you glued to the book. I'm definately having a good time with it.

This one I'm still making my way through. It's a fun and interesting way of playing with the paranormal world unbeknowst to the human world and throws the characters into a situation that leaves you compelled to find out what in the world is going on. Also having fun with this.

Next Up:

The Mad Women's Ball by Victoria Mas
My Sweet Cinderella by Lorelein Johnson
Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Slewfoot by Brom

And that's just for the first half of September. I'm just glad I got ahead earlier in the month.

The Broken Girls might have to wait a little longer. The Lost Village I might be able to slip in and read because it's still in demand at the library. Elementary, She Reads is a cozy mystery that I also hope to slip in but who knows. I hope to push myself and get these stories read and reviewed but I refuse to do them a diservice of rushing through them. That's not fair to the author or to me. So, we shall see.

Anyone have a daunting TBR? Anyone have ARCs they need to work through? Anyone need NetGalley Anonymous for those who have an addiction to click request or Read now?

As always, Spook ya'll later, ghost buds!
