Book Haul #1
Yes, I come bearing...treasures...er books. You know what I mean. So recently, I kind of went crazy (recent? really?) and went on a book buying...spree...which is the exact opposite of what I'd been trying to do. I was sort of trying to wing a Booking Buying Ban...and, yeah, that didn't work too well, did it?
Anyways, on to the books. I'll be listing Some I got from Bookoutlet, Pangobooks and Amazon. (One of these books from Amazon technically, has to go back due to it being of course, damaged. Thanks Amazon, for the 200th trip to UPS because you keep sending me messed up books!)
📗📘📙📕
👻
So, let's start with the smaller of the group. Amazon.
📙 #1 Year One bk.1 - Nora Roberts
(Are you shocked? I'm not. If you read my blog, you'll have a sneak peek that I mentioned it would most likely be a buy and lo and behold. It is. Sadly, this is the damaged one that I will be griping about for a bit. Because, well, why not? Amazon, srsly, get your shit together already.)
📘 #2 Mind Hunters - John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker
(Yes, it's that MindHunter. The one on Netflix that I got obsessed with. Sadly, I don't know if there is going to be a third season and that sucks. Major monkey ball, sucks.)
📕 #3 Stalking Jack the Ripper bk.1 - Kerri Maniscalco
Alright, for this one I had been eying for a while. Jack the Ripper. Check. Female Heroine. Double Check. Mystery. Triple check oh - fuck it, I'll buy it. Which brings me to...
📗 #4 Hunting Prince Dracula bk.2 - Kerri Maniscalco
Yeah...
On to the PangoBooks. Now, this was the first time for me trying out buying from indiviual sellers on here or on this site - in general... anyway. This is my experience. It was, for the most part, easy to use (had little hiccups of technical difficulties) but I found a seller that seemed to have a decent amount of books I wanted so I went in and did a $35 purchase and the seller offered free shipping for it. Yes! The books came actually pretty quickly and the seller was even nice enough to wrap the books in bubble wrap. I mean...she gets it. From one book lover to another, I think that's where the understanding is.
I will say, I do NOT like that Pangobooks doesn't offer the ability to open up a previous purchase to look at the itemized books you've bought. The closest I got to that was the intial receipt they send in the email for confirmation of the order. And that's fine but let's say the email gets deleted or what not. Then what?
Back to the haul.
📙 #1 Scythe bk.1 - Neal Shusterman
(Now technically, I own this. But this is a hardcover. And I had the other two in hardback but not the first...so I needed to fix that. Sshh. Don't look at me like that. It makes perfect sense...)
📘 #2 Caraval bk.1 - Stephanie Garber
Not only did I get this in hardback but - It has black sprayed edges! Which from the picture, I couldn't tell but my, what a happy flying ghost, I was when I spotted it.
📕 #3 The Guest List - Lucy Foley
📗 #4 The Last Magician bk.1 - Lisa Maxwell
📙 #5 Agnes at the End of the World - Kelly McWilliams
📘 #6 Arsenic and Adobo - Mia P. Manansala
Now to the biggest portion of the haul.
📙 #1 Give the Dark My Love - Beth Revis
📘 #2 M is for Magic - Neil Gaiman
📗 #3 Meg and Jo - Virginia Kantra
📕 #4 Nocturna bk.1 - Maya Motayne
📙 #5 People Like Us - Dana Mele
📘 #6 Skyward bk.1 - Brandon Sanderson
📗 #7 The Honey-Don't List - Christina Lauren
📕 #8 Twice in a Blue Moon - Christina Lauren
📙 #9 Angels and Demons - Dan Brown
📘 #10 Funny Man: Mel Brooks - Patrick McGilligan
📗 #11 Hans Andersens Fairy Tales - Hans Andersen
📕 #12 A River of Royal Blood - Amanda Joy
Um...that's it...for now...there's more coming...*looks innocently* What? I didn't do anything..*hides mounds of boxes and credit card receipts* nothing wrong! Did I squeak?
