Boo! Yeah, it's me again! Hopefully you haven't been waiting long.
෴෴෴෴෴෴෴෴෴෴
Here is going to my very long, very crazy, TBR. Did I mention how long it was? Also, just to mention, I do accept ARCS on both NetGalley and BookSirens and in return, I give honest reviews for it. So if you notice titles on here that are not out yet, this is why. Also why my TBR just keeps growing, no matter how many books I managed to finish. Between my physical books, my owned ebooks, library rentals and my eArcs, I'm swimming in literature. Hey, no complaints here at all. Well, maybe that there isn't enough time in a day to actually read them all quicker. That would be awesome.
Anyways! On to the TBR of 2021!
(Reviews will be linked once posted either on GR or here.)
📚Get a Life, Chloe Brown - Talia Hibbert (library rental) FINISHED!
Rated:🌟🌟🌟🌟
📚.Rogue Protocol #3 - Martha Wells (library rental)
📚. Lock Every Door - Riley Sager (library rental)
📚. Year One - Nora Roberts (library rental)
📚. The Quiet Girl - S.F. Kosa (library rental)
Now, essentially every single one of those was recc'd by someone on BookTube. Have I mentioned that I do unhealthy binges of my favs on there? No? Okay, I shall be making a big ol' post of my favs soon.
📚. The Unflinching Ash - Angela Armstrong (arc from BS)
📚. Crown of Cinders #2 - Emily R. King (arc from NG)
📚. Dear Azula, I Have a Crush on Danny Phantom - Azura Tyabi and Jackson Neal (arc from NG)
Those are the current ARCS that I'm reading (not all the ones I've been approved for) at the moment and will be updating as I go. There are a couple comics or mangas that I slip in from time to time as well and will also make separate posts for those.
📚. The Girl in the Tower #2 - Katherine Arden (personal lib) ***
📚. The Witch's Heart - Genevieve Gornichec (personal lib) ***
📚. The Year of the Witching - Alexis Henderson (personal lib)
📚. Assassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb (personal lib) ***
The asterisks mean I plan on doing something with those (separate posts of reactions and what not) and also if they may become part of my favorites. As of right now, The Year of the Witching isn't a contender mainly because I haven't read enough of it yet.
📚. The Once and Future Witches - Alix E. Harrow (personal ebook)
📚. A Dead Djinn in Cairo - P. Djèlí Clark (Scribd Audiobook)**
** I'd like to mention I'm not really an Audiobook reader per say. This one is actually my first try at listening to one but have since also dipped my toes into a few others after. So far, still trying to process how to simply sit and listen. My mind has a tendency to wander or I get fidgety and distracted. Still going to try, it's just something I'm not quite used to yet. Working on a reread of a book I've read a few years ago and see if that helps.
Plenty of booktubers actually talk about having the speed set to x2 because otherwise it's too slow and while I agree the normal speed is a bit...boring, x2 speed does a funny chipmunk thing to the narrator's voice to the point where I'm too busy laughing at the absurdity of an Alvin the Chipmunk telling me of some neither ya-yas in a romance book.
If anyone wants to suggest a good audiobook to start, please let me know in the comments.
These are just some on my list at the moment. If you peek at my GoodReads, you'll notice twice this amount and some titles that are not the same. Between running out of time on a library rental or getting distracted by something like needing to prioritize an ARC over one of my owned books, sometimes I have to put the book on pause. I still plan to finish but the GR 'Currently Reading' has turned into more of a To Do list at this point. Plus there are some Craft books on that list as well that I won't list here unless of course, someone wants to know. I'll have a link to Good Reads on here as well.
This list will be added to and changed as time goes on. The more I finish, the more I'll move to another post with completed reads and links.
